NECA Ultimate Bear Blood Feral Predator Review +Badlands Hype !!!

  Blood tw!
It's Predator: Badlands release day! What's a better time to review a Predator figure than now hehe. These past movies from Dan Trachtenberg have been so so good, and I just know the new one will be amazing!! Actually carrying this franchise fr Here is a small review of the NECA Ultimate Bear Blood Feral Predator figure! All my personal opinions, ik everyone has their own criterias for figs, and I wanna do more reviews of figs and model kits I own :D

I bought this at a local flea market last summer for about $30 but haven't found a good place to display him yet (I need to organize my shelf). This figure is based on the bear scene in the Prey movie with a clear plastic body and spear! I bought it complete, but I did lose one of the S-shaped belt hook that holds his folded combistick :( it's ok though cause the main spear takes the spotlight :D

The packaging is so pretty and matches the same blood-soaked transparent gimmick as the figure. It also features a box slip with a beautiful photograph of the Yautja! If you do care for preserving the packaging, the circle sticker seals do rip off the blood printed on, but I personally don't mind.

The accessories included are: two additional mandibles (slightly open mouth and closed mouth), a pair of holding hands, a pair of closed hands, blades for the right arm, an extendable spear, backpack, and collapsed combistick. Compared to the standard Feral Predator, the combistick doesn't come with a magnet to attach to his back with the backpack, instead it's held by back hooks u have to work in between the lower back and hip parts. I did end up stressing the piece trying to get it to stay in place :( If I have time (and the willpower) I'll go in and drill a hole for a small magnet in the combistick so it can hold on his back. And since there's two magnets on both his shoulder blades, both the backpack and combistick can attach! This does come with less accessories than the standard figure, but that's what I wanted to bring up.

The figure itself is okay to handle imo; Posing-wise, he's... average. Unless you pose it in a basic, upright pose, I reccomend a stand (but that could just go for any fig). There's some stiffness in the torso where it's rubs against the abdomen, although the blood has never chipped off. I do wish there were more to the feet, but it's just a single piece with 360 swivel and no tilt. This Yautja is very sharp! I'm close to giving him a mani and pedi with a sandpaper!! Be careful handling it with long hair, as well, cause it'll snag. I would also be a bit careful with the ends of his lioncloth since it's really thin plastic and will be pushed against a lot the more you handle him. It hasn't been an issue yet, but just something to keep in mind!

Overall though he looks good! Very pretty figure with a great head sculpt and movie accurate! Love the varying hair lengths on his shoulders poking out, and the transparent/translucent parts are nice! Good articulation despite the feet; a good amount of posing is achievable, and most pieces are stable when handling. A 8/10 figure for me that WILL be coming with me to the movies tonight >:)

Badlands review soon!! I'm v excited to watch yet another Predator movie with my bf!!
Busy Week :(

Mini post of the last few weeks! My contract is still on pause(??), but I've been back at my part time for a bit. I'm gonna need to look at other job openings cause idk how long this will last I finally cut my hair, too, so it did temporarily help with the stress. Thinking about some ways I can bleach my hair again, and I was looking into some chunky highlights(?), but I saw a video from Frederic Chen on insta where she got the top half of her hair bleached, so it's like a reverse peek-a-boo color!! It's so cute, I might snatch that idea for myself hehe

I'm heading to Philly this weekend for a wedding, and I was struggling finding dresses/outfits. Ended up with a pretty baby blue gown and went through my entire closet to put together a turtleneck + smock dress outfit. I tailored the fancier dress to cinch at the waist more and hemmed the dress to a walkable length (will attach pics if I remember). I still need to find matching shoes for my dress, and maybe make a bow with the excess fabric if I have some time. Omg I get to try on the press on set I bought! It's baby blue like my dress :D

My bf and I also talked about the con game plan, and I didn't wanna think about it much cause I can't afford to make cons a priority at the moment, but he's not gonna take no for an answer and wants to pay for everything :') what a gentleman hehe. In exchange, I drive and try not to kill us lol. Our general con schedule is: Magfest and Katsucon with some local cons whenever we feel like it. Cosplay has been dropped to a lower priority, but I do want to finish my Ahtal-ka armor for the MonHun shoot at Katsu next year. I have the headpiece about 80% done :) I'll put up a progress bar and to-do list of my cosplays here eventually. But yeah that's about it goodbyeeeee
"De-Googling" Process #1
9.23.2025
In August, I started the ultimate journey of moving away from Google and Google-owned services. This was something I wanted to do for the past few months for multiple reasons: their constant fight back with ad blockers, OBNOXIOUS amount of AI in my face, their involvement and funding of genocide of the Palestinian people, lack of data privacy, etc., but I'm finally making the push!

Google Chrome was the first to go and was replaced with Firefox. I know it's not the best browser with those reasons in mind, but I had the option to turn off all the AI features it had. It was pretty easy to move my stuff from Chrome over, as well. A feature I really liked is their version of Chrome's tab groups which is pretty much the same thing. Startpage also became my default search engine, but I might have to look for something better for image search since the 'related images' from Google was something I liked.

Removing Youtube from my frequently used site wasn't as hard as I thought lol; I think it was the fact that I only bother to use it by clicking the bookmark shortcut to access it. Even before this, I didn't really find that many videos interesting enough for me to actually watch it.

Gmail was pretty easy to replace. I now use Proton Mail, and their transfer and forwarding method is very convinient. A downside is that I would have to create a few more accounts for my other emails, but that means I can finally condense all my alt addresses I use for free trials lol. Having a Proton account also includes a drive storage with 2gb

Now I need a replacement for Drive and all that, and I'm thinking LibreOffice for Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc. (substitute for Microsoft Office, too :D) but I want to look for a good online counterpart like Drive and Office. I know LibreOffice has some kind of online version, but I'm not sure if I'm smart enough to figure it out lol.

That's what I have done so far! There's still a couple of stuff to look into in terms of de-googling and a few non-google replacements (Spotify to physical media post up soon!)
Hello!

Hi, this is my first blog post on my currently half broken site lol. Still trying to get it all together while learning new stuff and watching things break. I wanted to start this site because social media platforms keeps getting worse every year. It's not the same creative outlet anymore, and there's just so many changes that just doesn't benefit their users. I don't care for numbers and visibility, just a place I can dump all of my hobbies, creations, thoughts, and customizations onto :)
