- 9.11.2025 - Hello!
My only other experience with 3D art was a very high poly head sculpt cause I really didn't wanna try to do retopology (it lagged bad lol), and doing quick creature sculpts and hair grooms for my last job. So this game was gonna force me to do everything from modeling, UV unwrapping, texture painting, rigging, and animations. I did get help with one idle animation for the tank robot but did the rest of his animations by myself. For the turret and boss, I generated the metarig from scratch and did the animations. The lab setting for the actual level was very easy to put together and only took me like 2 days.
They were very fun to watch and laugh with! I went with my partner and bought my babygirl with me ofc ^^
I love that the movie isn't afraid to be funny and light-hearted at times and still keeps the tense and brutal combat scenes. The acting was great! I enjoyed all the characters; none of them were insufferable and were well-written imo. I love Elle Fanning's portrayal of Thia and the polar opposite trope hehe. It was literally about a guy, his yapper sister, and the dog he said he didn't want lol
Badlands is easier to digest if you don't like heavy gore/violence since there's no humans (I get why it's PG-13 now lol) Bud, my daughter, I love u sm aaaaghh
These past movies from Dan Trachtenberg have been so so good, and I just know the new one will be amazing!! Actually carrying this franchise fr Here is a small review of the NECA Ultimate Bear Blood Feral Predator figure! All my personal opinions, ik everyone has their own criterias for figs, and I wanna do more reviews of figs and model kits I own :D

The packaging is so pretty and matches the same blood-soaked transparent gimmick as the figure. It also features a box slip with a beautiful photograph of the Yautja! If you do care for preserving the packaging, the circle sticker seals do rip off the blood printed on, but I personally don't mind.
The accessories included are: two additional mandibles (slightly open mouth and closed mouth), a pair of holding hands, a pair of closed hands, blades for the right arm, an extendable spear, backpack, and collapsed combistick. Compared to the standard Feral Predator, the combistick doesn't come with a magnet to attach to his back with the backpack, instead it's held by back hooks u have to work in between the lower back and hip parts. I did end up stressing the piece trying to get it to stay in place :( If I have time (and the willpower)
I'll go in and drill a hole for a small magnet in the combistick so it can hold on his back. And since there's two magnets on both his shoulder blades, both the backpack and combistick can attach! This does come with less accessories than the standard figure, but that's what I wanted to bring up.
The figure itself is okay to handle imo; Posing-wise, he's... average. Unless you pose it in a basic, upright pose, I reccomend a stand (but that could just go for any fig). There's some stiffness in the torso where it's rubs against the abdomen, although the blood has never chipped off. I do wish there were more to the feet, but it's just a single piece with 360 swivel and no tilt.
This Yautja is very sharp! I'm close to giving him a mani and pedi with a sandpaper!! Be careful handling it with long hair, as well, cause it'll snag. I would also be a bit careful with the ends of his lioncloth since it's really thin plastic and will be pushed against a lot the more you handle him. It hasn't been an issue yet, but just something to keep in mind!
Overall though he looks good! Very pretty figure with a great head sculpt and movie accurate! Love the varying hair lengths on his shoulders poking out, and the transparent/translucent parts are nice! Good articulation despite the feet; a good amount of posing is achievable, and most pieces are stable when handling. A 8/10 figure for me that WILL be coming with me to the movies tonight >:)
I finally cut my hair, too, so it did temporarily help with the stress. Thinking about some ways I can bleach my hair again, and I was looking into some chunky highlights(?), but I saw a video from Frederic Chen on insta where she got the top half of her hair bleached, so it's like a reverse peek-a-boo color!!
It's so cute, I might snatch that idea for myself hehe
